The Londonderry Redwings is a competitive branch of the Londonderry Athletic Field Association. The team will be hosting two tryouts for the upcoming 2014-2015 season. They will be held on Saturday august 2nd at 11:00 am and Sunday august 10th at noon on presidents field at the LAFA complex. It is geared towards players who want to develop thier skills and play baseball year round. This program offers a Fall baseball season followed by winter workouts. Winter workouts offer players many different coaching perspectives and a chance to get ample one on one coaching. The spring offers a full compliment of games with one to two  tournaments. This is a great opportunity for players that strive to reach the next level of the game. Traditionally players that participate show dramatic improvement in this player centered model. Please email Dan Griffin at dgriffin8@comcast.net if you plan on attending or if you have any questions about the program

Londonderry 12 Year-Old All-Stars Arrive at Cooperstown

Londonderry’s 12 year-old all-stars (NH Diamond Dawgs) arrived in Cooperstown on the same weekend that the legends of baseball are honored at the Baseball Hall of Fame.  The team checked into their barracks on Friday night and spent most of the day on Saturday settling into the scene.

The team enjoyed the opening ceremonies complete with a parade, skydivers and skills competitions.  Ryan Dooley competed in the Golden Arm challenge, Tyler Kayo hustled around the bases in the Road Runner race, and Nick Cote represented the team in the King of Swat competition.  The other members of the team did well in the Around the Horn contest.

Along with the individual players listed above, this year’s team includes Alex Peters, Ben Doris, Chris Tutt, Nolan Lincoln, Jake Slide, Zac Luongo, Zack St. Hilaire, Sean Cavanaugh, Cooper Bartlett, and Reece Manor.

You can keep up with the team and watch a few live games by visiting the Cooperstown Dreams Park website:  http://www.cooperstowndreamspark.com/cdpopening.asp or by visiting the LAFA website http://lafa.info.

The 12 yr old Team is Heading to Cooperstown
by posted 07/24/2014

For many many years the LAFA 12 year old all-star team has gone to Cooperstown NY to compete in a week long, 104 team tournament and camp.  The coaches and kids will stay on campus in barrack style bunk houses for the week competing in a minimum of 7 games.  The complex has 22 beautiful fields and some of those are wired with live webcams so that family and friends can watch the games.

Here is a link to the feed and schedule of our teams games.

Go Diamond Dawgs!
