2010 10U All-stars
The 10U “Londonderry Lightning” softball team went 5-0 last weekend to win the 6th Annual Rochester Summer Slammer ASA Softball tournament. The team was led by Val Shay, who pitched every inning keeping the opponents at bay the whole weekend. The Lightning beat the Dover Attack 9-1 on Friday night and 11-2 again on Saturday. They blasted the Rochester Slammers 19-3, outscored the Litchfield Blast 5-1 and 8-7 in an exciting extra inning play at the plate victory…… The 10U Lightning went 2-2 this past weekend at the ASA State Tournament in Manchester getting knocked out by a tough NH Hurricane team from Salem. The Lightning are off to an impressive 9-4 start to the 2010 summer tournament season.
