Parents Volunteer Information

Field Cleanup Information

LAFA Complex consists of 10 baseball and softball fields that need to be prepared for each upcoming season. It takes many volunteers and lots of effort to get them ready to play for the upcoming season after the New England winters. We have been consistently upgrading the fields so there are always major fall projects that can use the help to finish in the spring before the fields are ready to be played on. Parents that signup up for this duty are required to come down and give at least 2 hours to help get the fields ready. They need to sign in and out near the concession stand. Please bring appropriate tools to help get the fields ready: rakes (steel and leaf), shovels, blue tarps (to remove leafs), wheelbarrows, leaf blowers, brooms, rototillers, etc. Your help is appreciated and greatly needed. If you can't make the spring date, there will be one in the middle of the season and one in the fall that you can attend. You will be notified by your daughter's or son's coach on the designated date. You also should check the notices page for for the dates. Any questions please contact the field V.P. of Baseball Fields

Concession Stand Information

LAFA is a self funded organization and the concession stand is one of our biggest revenue producers. It is a very important part to the development and the maintenance of the complex. Parents that signup for this duty are required to help out in the concession stand for about a 2 hour time slot. There are designated time slots for each team and you will be notified by your daughter's or son's coach as to when it is. Parents are only required to work the window and someone is there to do the cooking. For insurance purposes children under 15 years old are not allowed in the concession stand.
