The Londonderry Athletic Field Association is heartbroken to announce the passing of a beloved family member, Board Director, and Coach, Scott Hale.
In youth sports, there are volunteers, and then there are visionaries. Scott was a visionary. His impact on Londonderry Baseball is not measured merely in runs scored or outs recorded, but in the fundamental shift of our community's culture. A longtime resident of Londonderry, NH, in May 2006, Scott was presented with the Robert W. Lincoln award in recognition of his “years of dedicated volunteer service for the youth of Londonderry.
Before Scott Hale, championships were a dream we hoped for. Today, thanks to his tireless efforts, they are the standard we strive for. He took Londonderry Baseball and transformed it into a New Hampshire powerhouse, creating a pipeline of talent and character that runs from our youngest T-ballers all the way to the High School varsity team. Scott taught our players—and our program—how to believe in themselves. He replaced doubt with expectation. Because of him, every team wearing the Londonderry name enters the season expecting success.
This past summer, Scott was back in the dugout, coaching alongside his son, Chip, on a field named in his honor–a pretty poetic ending for a man whose legacy will live on in the hearts of his friends, family, and those who were fortunate enough to be coached by him.
We extend our deepest sympathies to the Hale family. His legacy will take the field with every Londonderry player, every inning, every season.
The Hale family has invited the community to read Scott’s full obituary and learn more about his life at the link HERE.
In keeping with Scott’s lifelong dedication to the players of Londonderry, a memorial fund has been established in his name. This fund is designed to benefit youth athletes, ensuring that Scott’s passion for developing young talent and character continues for generations to come.

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Ron Campo, former president of LAFA and a dedicated member of the Londonderry community. For 25 years, Ron was more than just a leader—he was the pillar of LAFA, guiding the organization through many changes and leaving a lasting impact on generations of players, families, and volunteers. His leadership transformed the organization and shaped Campo Complex, now regarded as one of the premier baseball and softball facilities in the state, a testament to his vision and commitment.
Even after his own children finished playing, Ron remained at the helm, driven by his passion for the game and his dedication to the kids and the community. His leadership, mentorship, and unwavering support extended far beyond the field. He was always there to welcome new families, coach young athletes, and ensure that every decision made was in the best interest of the children. Those who had the privilege of working with him knew Ron not only as a mentor but also as a trusted friend—always willing to offer guidance, support, and encouragement.
Following his retirement as president, Ron continued to be a familiar presence at the fields, cheering on the next generation of players, including his grandchildren. His legacy will live on in every game played at Campo Complex and in the countless lives he touched.
On behalf of the LAFA board, we extend our deepest condolences to his wife Joan, his children Mike, Ronald, Stephen, and Justin, his 9 grandchildren, and all his family, friends, and loved ones. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory and impact will forever remain a part of LAFA and the Londonderry community.
In honor of Ron’s lifelong dedication, his family has requested that donations be made to LAFA in lieu of flowers, allowing him to make one final contribution to the organization he loved so dearly in the form of a scholarship. Donations can be made to:
LAFA P.O. Box 78 Londonderry, NH 03053 (fbo Ron Campo).
Respectfully,
LAFA Board
